Message With a MAP (Manifold Abosolute Pressure) setup you don't have to worry about intake pipe restrictions (MAF wire/metering device) and you tune based on your actual manifold pressure and charge-air temperature vs measuring air flow through one (or two) points that use an air-cooled "hot wire" to determine voltage output.

It also removes tuning head-aches that come with venting boost pressure on throttle closure to atmosphere. And you don't have to worry about leaks after the metering device not being measured. (Because it senses the intake manifold/charge-pipe as a whole)

To me, a MAP based setup is preferable on turbo-charged systems, and will be integrated into the stand-alone for my build.
